They're just packaged really nice, I feel like I needs to be saving the box or a little something. And they look and feel like quality headphones. They are very comfortable.
They come using a nice case, but they are kind with big to take with if you are traveling. The cord is kind of short, but I like that since I'll only be using these with my music player or computer.
The Studios still came off number one. I wanted to buy the Solos simply because they were cheaper and the noise cancellation with the Studios wasn't a priority, but the Solos just didn't sound very good compared to the Studios. Even with no EQ, the Solos were very bass heavy: Not enough high frequency detail, recessed midrange, too much bass. The Solos provide more of a dance club sound, not close to neutral enough for my flavor. The Studios have huge bass but with all the mids and highs restored. really enjoyable.
Overall, the sound will be the story here. Hands down, they are the best headphones I've ever previously used. They blow me awasy and I'll only imagine how great they'd sound to someone with regular hearing. For me, they're a doorway to your world of sound I thought pondered left forever. Thanks to Dr. Dre and the folks during Monster, I haven't.
